Kix wins BIG!
Kix won CMA’s National Broadcast Personality of the Year award!!! Oh my gosh, soooo exciting!! Kix was nominated along side Lia Knight and Bob Kingsley, who have each won this award twice and as of Tuesday, October 13th, Kix became the first Country artist to claim the CMA National Broadcast award!! Words cannot explain the excitement at the office when everyone found out. It was such a surprise, and I would like to take y’all through it, step-by-step.
The day started off like any other Tuesday morning…until Jamey Johnson walked in. [WHAT!!!] He was quickly rushed off into an office to ‘hide’ from everyone, including Kix. About ten minutes later, Kix walked out of his office and joined the staff in the kitchen area. All of a sudden, Jamey walked in!! He surprised everyone, especially Kix. Small talk was made between Jamey and Kix, and as smooth as butter, Jamey threw into the conversation that Kix just WON [!!!!!] CMA’s National Broadcast Personality of the Year award!!!! Huge smiles filled everyone’s face and cheers of excitement eventually overtook the hallway. We were all in celebration mode at this point. Everyone here at American Country Countdown and Citadel Media is extremely honored and humbled over the win. Words cannot explain how grateful I am to be able to experience this and to have the opportunity to work with Kix and the ACC team!!
